ÜNI is Boston Ballet’s distinctive Public Art and Multimedia Pop-up Experience and online platform that invites all to experience art through the movement of dance. ÜNI showcases an evolving collection of dance films curated by Mikko Nissinen, Artistic Director of Boston Ballet, highlighting unexpected collaborations from across the globe.
ÜNI means oneness through many, welcoming you to a personal journey of shared discovery –ünity, reünion, commünity, commünication. ÜNI is a reflection of our world – a multi-sensory, multi-cultural incubator of ideas with dance at its core.

ÜNI originated from Boston Ballet’s deep desire to make the art form of ballet more accessible by bringing it into diverse communities, removing all barriers and inviting visitors into a personal, immersive experience with dance.

Boston Ballet’s distinctive immersive Public Art and Multimedia Pop-up Experience, ÜNI, showcases an evolving collection of dance films
curated by Mikko Nissinen, Artistic Director of Boston Ballet, highlighting unexpected collaborations from across the globe.
VIDEO ART By MASARY, a transdisciplinary artist collective reconsidering environments through site-specific installations using sound, light, interactivity and performance. Founded in 2015, the group is based in Fort Point, Boston. The group’s work on ÜNI with Boston Ballet includes additional creative and technical assistance from Jenny Oliver, Justin Keith, Ari Weinkle, Rae Occhipinti, Kyle Stetson, and John Escobar.
